Goat Whey Bread

We made cheese with the lady that is giving us our goats and had quite a bit of whey left over. 

She gave me a recipe for whey bread so I came home and went to work. I had this picture of the recipe she gave me:

I ran out of flour after making pizza dough. I’d already made the yeast and whey mixture so I just halved it and used two cups of flour. 

I used my Kitchen Aid and dough hook to knead it

Then I realized that I was going to need more flour than the recipe called for so I used whole wheat to get the dough to the right consistency. Once it was ready to rise I let it sit covered in the microwave for an hour

Then I punched it down and let it rise again in the loaf pan on top of the oven while it was preheating 

One hour later we had a nice loaf of whole wheat whey bread

It’s delicious!

Next time I’m going to make more of a sour dough style bread out of it.
